★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful journey through Kalka Shimla Heritage railine. It starts from Kalka and ends at Shimla, the queen of hills. It goes through 103 tunnels with most scenic views.
Best train journey ever. Will come again in winters for snow train ride.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kalka Railway Station is located at a distance of 30 km from Chandigarh, the capital city of Haryana and Punjab. This station is not only connected with number of cities of India, but also privileged to have UNESCO Heritage narrow gauge railhead Kalka - Shimla, a stretch of around 100 km in operative stage. The trains running on this track are also called Toy Train. The journey from Kalka to Shimla takes 4 -5 hours and return as well. The entire route is enriched with hundreds of tunnels and bridges.
The Kalka Heritage station is interconnected and adjoing to the main broad gauge track. The station has all the facilities like toilet, ramp, food and tea shops open round the clock. From outside, one can get taxis to most of tourist places in Hillsdale like Shimla etc. Buses also ply in limited numbers. Number of heritage trains run which can be booked online. Must visit
