Good place for a outing near Pune and Lonavala. Known for the Buddhist Caves and also the temple of Devi Ekvira. There is bit of steps climbing from the parking lot. The ascent is through crowded stalls on both sides...

There is only one main cave which is common in all Buddhist Caves. Other all near by Caves are closed as of now due to land slide as informed to me by the authorities. But a must see if you have not seen any Buddhist cave. It is more or less the same as of Borivali kanheri Caves

The prayer hall is fascinating... but there's little else to see. Wear good shoes as it's a long climb over (sometimes) slippery steps. You can also visit the temple of Aadishakti Mata Ekvira Devi, right next to the cave's entrance.

Wonderful monument... Amazing Architecture... Need to be maintained more.... Worth to visit in lonavala... Don't miss this place... Really hard to reach the cave nearly 200 steps... But the tiredness was when we look at the cave.. Wow really amazing.. Should visit once in a lifetime

First you need take 25rs ticket. Excellent rock architecture and roof of the caves are designed from wood that is different from others cave. Beautiful stone art, you can get feel of rich budhism culture.

Caves hold rich history. Ticket is very cheap. 25rs for Indians and foreigners it is 300rs. If carrying camera then it is 25rs. Statues are not that well maintained or cleaned or preserved. Better care can be taken after looking at the crowd that it attracts.
