★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place had enormous importance in the freedom fight against British empire. Kesari Wada was the place where Lokmanya Tilak had lived. He operated Kesari newspaper from this place.
Currently this place has been renovated. There is only a single sign of old Tilak Wada that has been remained untouched - "the wooden gate."
There is a Lokmanya tilak museum inside the building which is a well maintained & knowledgeable place to get to know the legandary freedom fighter.
