★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Attended a wedding here... Everything was nice except the catering. Very shabbily dressed waiters and bad food quality. Burnt rice, tiny gulab jamuns, watery sabji. Rude waiters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kesri Wada is the place where Lokmanya Tilak lived. The Ganpati Bappa statue of silver is from the time of Lokmanya Tilak. There is also the printing press of Kesari here. The unique thing about the Ganesh Utsav is that they have a very small Ganesha Statue. This is historic place and lot of things associated with it. Lokmanya Tilak was a great and inspiring person, you should visit this place to know more about him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kesari Wada is named after the renowned newspaper Kesari, which was started by Bal Gangadhar Tilak from its premise. Earlier known as the Gaikwad Wada, this historical monument was a residence of the prince of Baroda until 1905 when it was purchased by Tilak who lived here until his death. It has a library and a museum, which contains the first unfurled Indian National flag, Kesari and Maratha newspaper offices, replicas of a Mandalay Jail cell and Tilak’s study room, and many mementos of Tilak.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Kesari Wada in Narayan Peth, Pune, is a historical building which once upon a time housed one of India's greatest freedom fighters, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, also known as Lokmanya Tilak.
The Wada has since been converted into a museum for preserving many items personally used by the great Lokmanya Tilak himself, when he lived there. In addition, there are items like photographs, stamps, coins with Tilak as the theme.
All these items are well preserved, and the Wada itself is well maintained to this day.
For getting a perspective of what the Lokmanya was, this Wada must be visited.
