Pious hindu temple of mother Khodiyar near Bhavnagar city. Many hundreds /thausands devotees visit the temple to have the glimpses of mother Khodiyar every day. I and my family members are also visiting the temple for the glimpses of mother Khodiyar. After taking over the management of the temple by the trust headed by H. H. Maharaja of Bhavnagar state the beautification and development of the temple and surrounding of the area has taken place very nicely. The shops are well arranged. A dhamashala (residence rooms ) is also available for the devotes who want to stay for more days. A lake and nearby hill temple is also increases the beauty of this pious place.. Jay ma Khodiyar.

So we took an auto from Sehor Station to Kodiyar Mandir which costs us 250rs and we reached within 25 mins. It was Monday and the mandir was too crowdy but nevermind. The only thing which was great is about the environment of this mandir. Like it gives you such a positive, energetic vibes. Uploading the last picture just for your reference that you don't bonk your head like me haha! See the boy standing. So you can understand the height level. And the back side of the mandir they serves Prasad (food) Don't know much about the timings but I had Prasad around 11:30am. Jai Kodiyar Maa.

A beautiful and historical temple dedicated to Maa Khodiyar. A very peaceful and tranquil place and attract positive energies. There are food outlets, restaurants, stalls for Prasad and gardens to enjoy with family. Lapsi is the main prasad offered to Maa Khodiyar. At the back is a ropeway that connects base to the shrine on a hill at the back. The temple is said to have been built by Maharaja Wakhatsinghji Gohil, who ruled the state of Bhavnagar from 1748 to 1816. There is a lake near the temple known as Tataniya Dharo and for the same reason, goddess is also known as Tataniya Dharawali.

JAY KHODIYARMA ? PLACE;- Rajpara Even though the Khodiyar temple, on the outskirts of Bhavnagar (15km), was built only as recent as early 20th century, it has a staunch following amongst devotees of Janbai (Khodiyar Ma). The temple lies on the edge of the Tataniya Wali Lake and has a ropeway at the back that connects the base to a shrine on the top of a hill. Lapsi (broken wheat dessert) is the main prasad of the temple. Brief History: Khodiyar Mata is believed to be a warrior Hindu goddess born as a member of the Charan caste around 700 AD. She is said to be the daughter of Mamad Ji Charan, who was blessed by Lord Shiva and Nagdev with seven daughters and a son. One of the daughters was Khodiyar Mata, who has temples all over Gujarat, Rajasthan and Mumbai. There is an interesting legend around the Goddess and the construction of this temple. Maharaja Wakhatsinghji Gohil, who ruled the state of Bhavnagar from 1748 to 1816, is said to be the one who built this temple. He was a devout follower of Khodiyar Mata. Once, he prayed to the goddess to present herself in her physical form in Sihor, the capital of Bhavnagar. Khodiyar Mata appeared in front of him and asked him to lead the way, only on the condition that he doesn’t turn around and check if she is following him. Wakhatsinghji walked on for many hours until he stopped just short of Sihor, in Rajpara, to see if she was still there. The Goddess was very much there but kept to her promise and never moved an inch ahead. She and her sisters decided to stay put and this is where the shrine was built. (Reference:- trawell.in)
