★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fully crowded railway station in South Eastern Railway Division (Amta line). It has good communication position in kona khalia. It takes near about 40 mins to go to howrah. And It takes 13 mins to go to Kona High Road Bus Stop by foot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Kona Rly. platform on the HWH - Amta broad gauge line is having no proper link / connectivity with Benaras Road the life line of the locality. So the commuters generally tend to avoid this Rly. Station.
The said Kona Rail Station with single line platform at present, if shifted 150 mts. towards the junction point of Hwh-Amta Rly. line and the Andul Calcutta Chord (ACC) link railway line presently being doubled would provide direct access to Benaras Road (less than a k.m away) thereby opening the flood-gates for the commuters to the Rly. Station.
It can be named Kona Junction serving the purpose of dual rail connectivity of Hwh-Amta Rly.line and the Andul Calcutta Chord (ACC) link railway. This ideal location at the junction of two railway lines would be cost effective as well as it would crater to the needs of two rail stations viz. the present Kona Rly. platform on the HWH-Amta broad gauge line and presently non – existent Baltikuri platform .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's is situated on the howrah -amta line. Just two station away from satragachi. Previously this station was of less importance but nowadays passengers are increasing. It's single -line platform station. Needs more shed and sitting place.
