★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was amazing! and the authenticity of the food really took me to heavens of the tastes,we had staters tabakh maaz,kukur Kanti and in main course Rogan Josh,goshtaba,marchawagun korma,daaniwal chicken,nadir palak and in sweet dish,we had phirni. kahwa was refreshing at last and what I can say ,it's wordless, hands-down! to the KONGPOUSH . Confidently recommended .Must dine there.

Its simplicity with a touch of the authentic... a hanging teapot here or an antique ornate hand washing vessel there, add enough atmosphere for the experience . The food is a fresh new experience... chicken with a hint of asafoetida and a marinade of yogurt just made our day :) and to top it all the perfectly balanced Khewa... complete with the floating chunks of dry fruits. A taste that opened up the senses.
It's s nice place to visit and experience the flavours of Kashmir ... good stuff ??

Visit to KongPoush, for our group of 3 was accidental & because of sheer laziness to do research. But as they sometimes you get lucky :)
We had planned to go to Poush (the one with the byline - Essence of Kashmir) but when we searched KongPoush came up & that became our destination.
But as it turned out, our love for Kashmiri food had gotten us at the right place. We went with the chef's recommendations here for mains & the afters. I just looked at their menu to recollect what we had then. I think the dishes we ordered were Mutton Yakhin & methi maaz - lipsmacking dishes, both of them. You know the preparation is excellent, when each ingredient retains it's individual identity yet not disconnected. The spices, used generously, didn't overpower the mutton. And mutton pieces were so tender & so fresh, they almost melted in your mouth. Overall dishes made with love and immense skill.
We had phirni & topped our meal with kahwa!
This was a great outing!
