★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Kopai river flowing below the bridge looks very beautiful. The sunset here is eye soothing. This place is mostly crowded due to tourist attractions. And if I say about safety, the bridge is narrow and the guard rails on both side of it is badly designed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean and green place by a small river. You will find some shopping opportunities thanks to the haat that has recently started there. The roads are fairly narrow, so it's best if you park your vehicle away from the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ About 15 years back, Kopai River Viewpoint had only one tea shop. Now, it has probably ten. And, also small haat (or bazaar) complete with baul and santhal folk dancers. On one hand, it is heartening to see that the local people are getting some chances to generate income. On the other hand, it feels bad that the river view point, slowly and steadily, getting into a stranglehold of totos and people.
Whenever we go to Shantiniketan, we make sure we visit here literally knowing that there is not much scenic beauty left. Over the years, the areas surrounding it is becoming a place for real estate rise with new houses and apartment complexes.
The Kopai river in itself is getting bogged down with the number of trashes and silts it has been accumulating for years.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is near of the Shantobitan Tourism Lodge and the Bishwa Bharati. It is a small river type of water body and is rather anice place to visit if you already have seen everything in Shantiniketan. I recommend to go there and have anice time. It's definitely very lovely.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a very new experience for me, especially the Baul songs, something which every adventurer and traveller should experience. Completely thrilled with the songs and the handicrafts which the local people produce.
Children would like this place too, and one of best sites for photographers to have a shot with their cameras!
Though the roads could have been better...!?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely beautiful place to be. One can reach here by car or hiring a Toto. The Kopai River view point is truly outstanding, the only catch is please do not stick around to the same over bridge where 95% of the tourists are, rather walk for 15 mins by the river Bank and you would see amazing countryside view along with solitude.
