Best Historical Place To Visit In The Vicinity Of Lonawala. It Takes Half An Hour To Reach From Lonawala Market. Recently, Archaeological Department Of Maharashtra Has Restored & Rebuilt This Fort. Views From Top Are Ineffable. A Nice Temple Is There On The Top Of The Fort. Fortification Walls Are Awesome. Just A Humble Request To All The Visitors, Not To Throw Any Sort Of Garbage, Plastic On The Fort. Let's Take Care Of Our Historical Remains.

Very easy for beginners lots of things to see and spend more time on the top of fort. It will be good if you go early in the morning to avoid heat during afternoon. You can stay here for night as well you need to carry your own tents Nice water bodies top of fort here you can seat and spend some good time . Two ways to go 1. Ambey valley which I don’t know is allowed or not. 2. From village peth something First is very easy way as compared to second one.

Easy to trek fort that is situated around 20 kms from Lonavala. You need to have your own means of transport to reach to the base as public transports are in this region. Google Maps shows two roads, one from Ambey Valley Civilization and other one from Peth Shahapur Village. DO NOT take the Ambey Valley route as it is a private property and you won't be allowed to get past the entrance and you have to travel back around 4-5 kms, take the Peth Shahapur route instead. You can pay-n-park your vehicles at the base and start the trek. You can can get breakfast and refreshments on the top. The view from the top is just awesome ? you can see whole Ambey Valley, Mulshi district, Ghangad fort, Tail Baila fort, Morgiri Fort and other breathtaking scenes. Best time to visit is during late monsoon and early winter as you'll be surrounded by fog everywhere. There is a strong fortification around the whole fort and you can explore the fort by walking on it throughout. Places to see- Mahadarwaja/Ganesh Darwaja Korai Devi Temple Mahadev Temple Lakshmi Tof Other 4-5 canons are also there that too in good condition. Trek Level- Easy to Moderate Endurance Level- Moderate Total time taken- 1-1:30 hours

If you're trying to find some good trekking experience near lonavala then korigad fort is place you must visit. Not hard to trek, No risky patches, kids and elders can easily hike. The views from top are the worth of your each step you going to take on this trek. Do visit. And don't make any plastic garbage or any kind of harm on the fort it is pur responsibility to conserve what our ancestors made for us so the future generations can also take the taste of our history.

One of the most easiest treks to do especially with beginners. It is merely steps to climb to the top and is at most a 1 hour trek. This place is best visited during the monsoon as there's lot of greenery and you'll be surrounded by clouds once you reach the top. The start point can be a bit mucky and is the only challenging part but the rest of the trek is super easy. There's a water body on the top which I suggest to just put your leg and just sit in the corner and not dive inside as we witnessed as there have been incidents of drowning that happened before and we listened to the locals and avoided taking a swim. Also as you walk on the corners on the fort it gives a mesmerizing view and is a green heaven.
