★ ★ ★ ★ ★ || Krushi Bhawan: The Architectural Marvel || If you think sustainable architecture can't be good looking, you have to visit 'Krushi Bhawan' in Bhubaneswar to dispel that notion. The building has been unsurprisingly shortlisted for World Architecture Festival Award (2019). The facade manifests itself in form of 'Ikat' fabric which the state of Odisha is known for. The beauty, though, is beyond skin deep. The building uses regionally sourced material and is designed as a passive cooled structure with a unique ventilation system the keeps the building cool and reduced energy consumption and cost. It also sheds the perception of government buildings being staid, dark and dingy. If you are visiting Bhubaneswar, just look it up on Google Maps and make a quick pit stop!

The complex houses administrative offices for the Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Empowerment around courtyards filled with ponds and trees.The brickwork elements that wrap the upper floor create a pattern designed to emulate Odisha Ikat, a traditional dyeing technique from the eponymous Indian state.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The building architecture is somewhere represents odiya tradition which is too good. It has formal understanding of local context, craftsmanship and sustainability.
The architecture firm was Studio Lotus. Who did an excellent work within the timeline.
This building exceeds most green building rating parameters which a good practice indeed.
I had a great time here visit once

Millet is a super food & every individual should take this as a part of daily diet. The outlet has many varieties of millet preparation at an affordable price such as rose cake, biscuits, bread, mixture, ladoo, millet atta etc.
