This is one of the most important historic place in Barddhaman. Barddhaman was the head quarter of Bengal Suba of Moghal empire and the original Barddhaman city was around this area. The cemetery around this with Turk Sage Pir Baharam is next to the tomb of Serafgan.

There is a building on the west side of Pira Bharram's main mausoleum, the shrine of Barddhaman Sher Afghan and the then Kutubuddin Kokar Tomb of the brother-in-law of Jahangir, the subadar of Bengal. From the pages of history, it is known that in 1603-44 Mughal emperor Akbar Bardhaman sent a message to Turki Alikuli Beg. He was extremely strong. He became famous as the Sher Afghan. In the management of Emperor Akbar, he married Dewan Mirza Ghias Tehran's daughter, Laramayamayi Meherunnessaar. Prince Salim was involved in this Meherunnisar. After Akbar's death, he sat on the throne of Jahangir. He did not even leave the dream of Meherunnisha. In the pretext of the royal order, Sher Afgan was summoned in Delhi. There he planned to kill him. After learning about that plan, Sher Afghan came back to Burdwan. For the purpose of killing Sher Afghan, Jahangir's brother-in-law Kutubuddin sent Coca with the help of Bengal. In 1607, war between both of them was present in Sadhanpur, present day Burdwan. The two died in the war. They were buried in the building on the west side of Bahram's tomb. Sukanya Meherunnisha was brought to Delhi's court. Jahangir married Meherunnisha in 1611. He later became known as India Samrajni Nur Jahan.

Poorly maintained. Peaceful place. Has its own historical relevance. Pity that the state govt doesn't bother to undertake maintenance of this place of such historical relevance.
