La Bistro - Chandannagar

Been there first time just two days ago ,, we ordered many items,, blue lagon,, strawberry mojito, hyderabadi biriyani and chicken special biriyani,, food quality is good quantity too.. Staffs are also courageous,,, loved all the items except hyderabadi one.. Otherwise all good,, would love to visit again ❤

"LA BISTRO" which means "A Restaurant" is one of the latest addition to the list of multi-cusine restaurants in the town of Chandannagar.. It is located at a very good location just on the main Station Road.. And since it is located very close to our home, we decided to give it a try with my parents.. On the occasion of the New Year 2020, we visited this place last Saturday for dinner. Before the main entrance, they have the fast food centre and waiting area.. The Inside of the restaurant is simply and neatly decorated.. It is quite spacious and at a time it can house around 50+ persons.. Lighting is perfect and in-house music is soothing.. Staffs are courteous and professional.. Once seated, we went through the menu.. It has a wide range of foods available.. from indian to chinese to continental.. from non-alcoholic beer to mocktails to desserts.. they have tried to cover almost all types of food.. Coming to food, we ordered the follwing and our experience is as follows: # Chicken Reshmi Kabab: For starter we ordered this dish.. There were 6 pieces of soft and succulent boneless chicken.. Preparation was very good and taste was awesome.. Must try.. # Butter Garlic Naan: After quite some time we had the best prepared butter garlic naan in a restaurant.. pieces were soft and tasted really good.. # Murg Lababdar: We had this dish alongwith the Naan.. It was provided with 6 medium sized boneless chickens.. A bit on the spicy side, this dish was just excellent.. really loved the taste.. # Mutton Dum Biriyani: As i had heard earlier that Biriyani is good here, and its true indeed.. Mutton Biriyani taste was very good.. It had one big piece of mutton and a potato.. Mutton though had too much bone and less meat.. Bad luck on the piece!! # Mixed Fried Rice: Quantity was good.. Amount of chicken, egg and prawn in the rice was more than enough.. Taste was normal though.. Nothing special.. Can be avoided if not required.. # Honey Chilli Chicken: We had thought the taste to be a bit sweet and a bit chilli mixed together as per our previous experience from other restaurants.. but unfortunately there was no chilliness in it.. Overall the dish was a bit too sweet.. Although it had 8 pieces, but they were quite small in size and a bit flattened.. Didn't like it much.. # Hot Brownie with vanilla ice-cream: Presentation is just awesome.. Ice-Cream is quite good.. But was totally disappointed on the brownie part.. It lacked their experience in the brownie part.. Basically they provided chocolate sponge cake in place of brownie!!! So, as per my experience here, Indian dish preparations are awesome and tasty.. But the chinese dishes needs considerable improvements.. Also they need to rectify their concept on hot brownie.. They have places of improvements on some parts. Otherwise, overall, its a lovely restaurant with quality and good indian food.. Hopefully they will overcome their negative points soon and become one of the best restaurants in the town of Chandannagar :-)

We went to bhut er raja dilo bor, but that place was sooo crowded, that’s why we decided to come here! Much better than we expected. Very good ambience, good staff, good behaviour and good food. You can get alcohol free beer here in multiple flavours. Ps. The name of the restaurant is “La Bistro”, but it is a Bengali restaurant... ?

After hearing so much of the restaurant from the day it has opened, we thought why not just give a try. The total interior decorations, ambience, live music, everything was perfect. The wall designs, the ceilings and also the entrance. It's quit spacious which can accommodate approx 50 people I guess. So many dishes are available and I found their pricing was quit reasonable. The staff were well behaved. The only issue I had was the serving from them. Kindly look into the matter. Overall it's all good. MUST VISIT.

This restaurant serves tasty Chinese dishes, the taste of the bengali food is okayish. The ambience is good and the staffs are well behaved, their prices are little on the higher side. One can head towards this restaurant for a fine dining experience with a bit of pocket pinch but enjoy their time with their family and loved one's.

Lovely ambience and decor. Food was very tasty. Quantity was quite sufficient. Although one minus would be they took a lot of time to deliver the food. However it was worth the wait as the food was quite tasty. Good restaurant to spend time with family and friends. Also pocket friendly. A full three course meal's pocket pinch would be around 1000- 1200 for two people

The French derived name 'La Bistro' Restaurant in the one time French ruling colony of Chandannagar in an absolutely demanding location near the Chandannagar Station is all what was needed since long. Decor and ambience were too good both interiorly and exteriorly... They had a good waiting area outside also... Management needs a bit improvement during festive times and coordination among the staffs needs a bit attention although behaviour of the staff was good. Coming to food, rating would be 5/5. We ordered 4 dishes: 1. Chicken Reshmi Kebab (Appetizer)- which was not on the astounding side though... 2. Veg Pulao- This had an amazing taste and a beautiful smell as well. Hadn't tasted so beautiful a pulao in a restaurant since long. This should definitely have a special mention. Quantity was adequate for two people as per price. 3. Mutton Rogan Josh- Quite tasty and a peferrable one among the mutton dishes. 4. Fish Began Bahar- Hearing the name we thought it might be a combination with began staffs? but no it was a blend of veggies and bhetki fish curry which just brought one word 'Wow'? The only fish item which was on the list and it was worth it's price. Would love to visit again definitely and try other dishes.

Quality of food needs good improvement. Ambiance is nice. Staff behavior and welcome is all good Main and major factor is that food quality needs special attention. Please don't make all dishes sweet.In every dishes of yours whether it is spicy or non spicy quantum of sweetness is really high.please rectify it. Then 5 star rating is possible. Overall nice restaurant to have lunch or dine in with family,couple etc.
