★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Being in Basavanagar from past 27 years, this lake has lost its glory thanks to the corruption. This used to be a fresh water lake then which had no weeds on the surface, had fishes though it was dangerous for swimming. Now all the soil & waste from nearby apartments and localities. Don't know if the STPs of these apartments & villas are in working condition is working as per KSPCB norms because can see the Black coloured water being let into the lake causing the stench. In this situation, in another 5 years the foaming is going to happen as in the case of Bellandur and varthur lakes. The lake used to extend beyond the railway track, but now it ends within few meters before railway track and construction happening beyond the railway track on the lake bed. One can check the lake's actual extend on Google Earth -> timeline. Corruption has taken over the lake

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice 3 KM track with beautiful surroundings but lot of drainage smell where the usage water leaving into the lake sewage plant might help many seasonal migrated birds stop coming I don't think so there is any life in the lake atleast it should develop like mahadevapura lake authorities should look into this

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is an amazing place to visit either in the early morning or in the evening. It has a very peaceful temple at the entrance and a huge old peepal tree, which you must spend time under.
It is perfect for jogging, walking and cycling. Lot of greenery at the other side of the track.
Of I jad to choose between a mall and this lake view point, I would definitely go for the latter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is situated in a good position. A place where the most powerful people live could have kept up its appearance better. Over the weekend, a large number of individuals flock to this location for sheer pleasure and excitement. Few people jog on a regular basis. There aren't many anomalies. Over the weekend, parking is a problem. Outside, there are only a few food vendors. There isn't much work going on, but it's moving at a snail's pace. That is the tragic storey.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best place for morning and evening walk. In winter you cannot walk without sweatshirt. Many people are walking here. One round is 4000 steps. You could walk, jog, run, exercise in here. Better top avoid going here after 6pm due to safety issues on the other side. Overall nice and cool breezeway
