This is a must visit for anyone going to Digha or Mandarmani or Tajpur. The beach is located just 2.5 km from Mandarmani, and you can drive or even walk there early morning. If you drive, you can park on the road parallel to the beach, and then hike across the vegetable plantation, straight onto the beach. The beach is full of bright, red crabs. As far as your eyes can see. Try to bring a good camera, because the smartphone ones won't be able to capture the beauty. The red crabs are very shy and cautious, and would go into their burrows as soon as you are near them. Apart from the red crabs, the beach is very natural. Virgin and untouched, if you prefer such places. You will find scores of sea shells of every size, and you would only find your footprint there.

Beautiful natural beach for those who don't like crowd. This beach is located near Mandarmani. There are no hawkers or food stall nearby.

Exquisite, mind blowing, relaxing, tranquil, crowd free, calm, soothing, healing, and... and it will make you spellbound. Characteristics : 1) The Beach is very Large and Flat with no irregularities (no hidden boulders/stone) 2) Red Crabs ( they seem like flowers in the beach) 3) Crowd free ( even in the busiest season ) 4) The Sea is very calm with gentle waves. I have never seen such a beautiful beach in India. It felt heavenly to a city bred boy.

It was my first time experience to see the Lal Kankra in beach. It was looking like someone spread red chilli across sea beach ?

A virgin beach or an offbeat beach destination which is a few kilometres from Mandarmani Bus Stand. It is located near RamKrishna Ashram, Mandarmani. The place is very quite. There are few places to stay there but very peaceful. You can see fishing boats stranded there. There are fishing huts for sun-drying fishes. The locals are fishermen. The beach is home ground for millions of red crabs. Campgrounds are also there for stay. The place is very beautiful and natural. There is no crowd so you can enjoy peaceful time there. The road is however not driving friendly and generally takes much time and good driving skills to reach there.
