★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place can be developed for a beautiful picnic and tourist spot but for now it's an over hyped place. Approach road to the place is not wide enough for 4 wheelar and not maintained too. Red rocks visible on the river side looks beautiful but area need to be maintained clean as people coming for picnic are throwing plastic waste inside river. Also for big gathering of people for picnic on both sides of river bank having not enough clear areas. Overall a good place but need lot of improvement

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is near to bikramkhol, so you can cover both places and especially this place is so calm and peaceful that would would prefer to stay here near the river bank to get some mental peace.
Lal means red color, and pathar means stone. Its called Lalpathar because the sides of the river are covered with red stones.
Its a good place to take your stuff and cook there - like a picnic.
