★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Situated right after Manton and behala simultala Bazaar. For prior generation people this is the place where INDIA fans was prior to this. Closer to lic building and opposite behala blind school. You need to enter the complex from the gate and take right turn dead end and you will find the stairs to this building. No hoarding no banner just the last building with a small tea stall under stairs.
The building is old, not maintained, gloomy with no proper light and ventilation. The office is used for land, flat, house or any property registration. Most of the time you will find this place crowded with common people who are visiting for registration, promoters, builders and local advocates. Very difficulty for old people, steel chairs and dark stairs. The office is decently painted and that is the only thing proper. I am visiting this place since good 8 plus years for property registration and have not seen any development. Bathroom smells foul, no place to sit, broken steel chairs which is broken since day 1 since I visited this place. There is aquaguard but I wonder if it's working, overall not so well maintained place even after authorities earning crores of rupees every single day.
There is cctv with no smoking banners and people are still shamelessly smoking inside the premises. I have also seen broken chairs which makes difficult for ladies and older people. I have been to many govt offices in Kolkata, this I feel should be improved keeping in mind how much money and revenue is getting collected from this place.
