★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A cosy humble and warm hearted eatery. We took home a packed lunch and it was nice and uplifting in its home made nature. We also enjoyed a breakfast. There are plans afoot to upgrade the place but it is quite nice even now.
The distinguished elderly gentleman who ensures customer comfort was a buddy of R K Laxman and that is a real plus!

After tasting the food here I was just surprised knowing that this place has 4.2 rating on Google. Honestly I didn't find the uttapa, dosa, idli tasty here. The sambhar simply doesn't have any taste at all.
I will not say that the food here is bad so don't go. But rather I would say you do visit and then verify whether my words are true or not. And then you too can give your opinion/review.
One think according to me why this place is famous is the fact that the owner and the people here are actual South Indian. And the customers that I observed when I visited were also South Indian. So I guess that's the only fact why people visit here.
Taste was below than average, pricing is way too high.
After having tasteless breakfast we thought atleast filter coffee would cover up but that also we didn't find good. It was not appealing, had tea like color, no taste.
Honestly it's just waste of money. Would strongly recommend not to visit. But just by seeing Google rating you may find my review incorrect or problem with my taste, hence would suggest to try it out once and then check my review again. But still would strong not recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When u first visit the area, and u see Madurai, you'll see a quaint lil place to have south indian food.
But once u get in, you will see that the place is well ventilated even for an April afternoon, the service is energetic with a smile on their faces, and the food is delicious!
The Podi Idli is a personal recommendation, while it took a while to be made, it's worth the wait definitely. Also ensure you try the authentic south Indian filter coffee served in brass glasses.
The best part about this restaurant is that they even let me bring in my 1 yr old German Shepard in the seating area, and they were very co-operative and understanding.
All in all, great experience. Would def recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No frills types small place , tin shade , only a few tables and they serves tamil food .
Filter coffee , dosa , idli , vada , meals / thali (thali ... mon to sat only) and much more .
Good people , great food and nice taste.
A few may find some petty issues which are not up to the mark but no one cares about them.
