★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its a nice and infact a very long bridge over the great river mahanadi .. i was crossing this river in the New Delhi bound Rajdhani Express and the train happened to stop over the bridge .. the length of the bridge is such that 2 Rajdhani trains can stop over it together still leaving enough space for another Rajdhani to come aboard. The major area of the river was dry as the river bed could be see to a great distance. However during the monsoons this river is full of water. The famous Balu Jatra (balu means sand and jatra means festival in the local language) is held for a week to 10 days on this river bed. You can barely cover the entire jatra in one night even if you kept walking for 6 hours straight.
There is a huge bridge over this river also known as the Jobra bridge and is more than a mile in length.
You can stop on the bridge and watch fisherman from the local place cathching fish using nets and selling them on the pavement of the bridge. The fish sold here is fresh as they are usually caught minutes before being sold.
Loved the place around. Feels great to be here.

But the oldest bridge is not maintained properly to avoid bid incidents.
