β β β β β This iconic Bengali sweet shop has been around for a long long time. Now with age there is restrictions on taking my favourite sweets. I will studiously avoid going anywhere near it lest I fall prey to its sweet seductive charms. Then one day Oscar Wilde came into my dreams and reiterated his sage advice, βThe best way to resist temptation is to succumb to it.β I got up with a start and made it point to succumb to its charms. Well it was raining by the time I reached there and the fantastic aroma of hot singara wafted into my nostrils. I knew what is to be done. I ordered for a plate consisting of two hot pieces of singara. Oh what a feeling, the taste played on my taste buds and I resisted the urge to finish my singara with a sweet lest it spoiled the taste of the Ssingara!
