A very busy station, congested too. Overcrowded with people, auto's, hawkers... On both sides, east and west. The railway bridges are too good, classic and specious. The escalator on platform 2 in the front side is very beneficial. The foot over bridge in the rear end is also a classic one. On the whole, a good suburban station.

It is a rush ,working place it is mostly a place where middle class people live the rush is insane from 8 am to 11 am in morning for the train to churchgate.Caution is to be taken when taking a train from malad. It has some decent malls and places to visit like liberty garden, mindspace, infinity mall, in orbit Mall,dmart... And many more places which has some awesome food to offer ...Malad West is mostly developed area having many building having more 10 floors..

The worst station on the western line. Tue bridges are filled with beggars. The station master is callous, and the bmc allows illegal hawkers to block main roads causing trouble to citizens.

Malad is a suburban area of Mumbai between Kandivali and Jogeshwari. Its development is not systematic and many gulleys are there on West as well as on East side. This suburban area contains residential as well as commercial buildings and is busy from early morning to till late night. Besides public transport facilities like Best Buses and local trains, autos and taxies are also available. Outside Malad Station which is on Western Railway number of autorickshaws are available at reasonable fares as per the Standard Metering rates approved by the Regional Transport Office, Mumbai for short as well as long distances. There is also a sharing rickshaw facility available just outside the station. The Passport Office of Government of India is situated on east side of Malad Station which is on five minutes distance by auto and sharing facility for the same is available immediately at the exit point of east side of Malad Station. The village Malad is colourful with different cultural activities throughout the year. Love Malad.

To be fair, the only good thing about the malad station is their market but not the station the platform on the west side is waste land... The stairs are just horrible, mismanagement, not well maintained.
