β β β β β Frankly food is barely at par with Indian options we have in Delhi. The Paneer was hollow and had no flavour on the inside which was appalling. The other items we ordered including the bread were all unremarkable. The chef however was most courteous and a top gentleman. If i was to go back, I would go for the chef. Our server was in a bad mood and he kind of further ruined it for us. I would recommend this place only because the chef was so ingratiating towards my critical feedback.

β β β β β This is an Indian cuisine restaurant inside Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. It offers a wide range of selection of items in different categories. We really enjoyed black dal and baingan bharta preparation. The staff was extremely good and courteous.They helped us make the right selection. Since I was travelling with my 1 1/2 year old infant, the helped us with the baby seat and also fetched curd and rice for my baby.
The good thing about food was that it wasnβt spicy and the portion size was sufficient for two people. They offered complimentary papad which was a good munching option while the food was being prepared.

Shocked to see, A soup served in a Tea Cup ?? (just see the picture, I posted) Even not served a Soup spoon. It may be their serving quantity ?, but it could be served in a small Bowl...
Welcome drink was served after we finished our Half meal...
This is ridiculous, never expected at a 5 star hotel like Taj...

β β β β β Extremely bad service. The staff does not care about the service and is arrogant when we try to explain. Customer service is alien concept to them.They keep you waiting for no reason so that they finish with their gossip and laughs. We were served by Mr Deepak and were initially attended by Parvathi. We were asked to wait for our table for 10 mins so they would setup the table. They called us after 10-12 mins and when we arrived we were told the staff prepared a wrong table.
In all extremely bad experience and will never visit again. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Got table after 1 hr of waiting.
Ordered many items:
Complementary fryums was good.
Rice and dal makhani was fabulous.
Mix veg was ok ok, not that good
Phulka was not good and damn so small for rs.350
We had high hopes.
Will try shamiana next time.
