It is the genuine efforts of the then Maharaja Krushna Chandra Bhanja Deo and Maharaja Purnachandra Bhanja Deo donated their Palace to built a government college. Now it is also Known as "M.P.C (Junior) College". Higher Secondary education is being given here (+2 1st Yr and +2 2nd Yr). Amazingly Mayurbhanj is the first and the only district where there is no child labour and parents are even showing interest in giving necessary minimum education to their children.

Now the MPC Junior College is important monumental structure build in the heart of Baripada Town. The buildings need to be taken care of as the walls and other structures decaying. If properly managed/ taken care of it will be most beautiful college in Odisha.
