★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is almost in ruins. The adjoining part of the Fort is a hotel which is well maintained and one of the costly accommodations in the Himachal Pradesh. Some part of the Kuthar Palace is occupied by the sub-Treasury of the District. Some painter has tried to revive the original paintings on the walls leading to the sub-Treasury on the first floor of the Fort part but appeared to have failed.One may give skip to visiting this Fort.

The state of Kuthar was founded in the 17th century. It was occupied by Nepali forces during drive of Himalayas from 1803 to 1815.
Kuthar, formerly Krishangarh, is located in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. Krishangarh (Kuthar) is situated on the MDR-75 i.e. Shalaghat-Arki-Kunihar-Kuthar-Patta-Brotiwala (previously known as State Highway-9) adjoining Sabathu, Kasauli area. Krishangarh is an administrative division of Solan district having sub-tehsil status.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Totally remote, road via solan is very secluded, far off from habitation and quite hoary, access roads bad, food menu is average and as available at any other normal restaurant, if travelling with kids, remember to carry medicines and people with motion sickness and altitude sickness should never travel here.
The property is quite well maintained and has families visiting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place. Some things can be changed as to tourism view. It is a peaceful place to spend some time alone. However there is no option to view inside interiors of palace. It would be great if it can be opened for tourists.
