This temple is an important specimen of the Ganga period. Built by Svapneswardeva in honour of Megheswara Siva the temple can
be dated to the 12th century C.E. The temple is saptaratha in plan and rises over a low platform. The well developed pagas confer on
it a circular look. The main door on the west is flanked by two naga pillars, reminiscent of the Rajarani temple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small temple buy old and historic temple dedicated to lord Shiva. Astonishing architecture and high with historic value. But what I don’t like is they have neglected the Koneru/ lake inside the temple. It is full of grass and garbage. Please clean this . I hope Odisha government definitely takes care of this. I really love the temples of Bhubaneswar . I love the temple city. Right now I front of this temple the road is under renovation. Please be careful.
