Mumbai is known as the land of Vada Pav, but Merwans Cake Shop has quietly managed to carve a niche for itself across the city.
Merwans' chicken patties have long been a big favourite among Mumbaikars for the last so many decades. And with the introduction of new varieties of both veg and non veg patties, Merwans has attracted more and more people, especially the young college crowd.
With patties and rolls charged between ₹15 to 30, and a range of mini pizzas, it perfectly suits the budget of youngsters.
The patties are quite crispy and the delicious taste makes you crave for more.
The Egg patties at ₹20 is another hot selling commodity and goes off the shelf in a matter of minutes whenever a freshly prepared batch arrives from the kitchen. The patties and rolls finish quite early, hence it is advisable to reach the store before 730pm. They are closed on Thursdays.
And coming to the best part, one which everyone across Mumbai crave for -- Desserts.
I don't think anyone can beat Merwans' Mawa Cake, the taste just refuses to let go and you don't stop at one.
Among the cream cakes, the Butter Scotch cake at Merwans is a long time best seller. And even other interesting varieties like Caramel Custard, Ivory Trogan, Raspine Delight or Raspberry Cheese cake are also a must try, in fact there are so many varieties to choose from, you could have a different flavour daily and go a few months without repeating any of them.
The cream cakes are perfectly balanced as far as sweetness and flavour is concerned and the bread is quite fresh and soft.
Infact, the secret of their freshness is that the cakes are never stored for the next day.
And in good news for Merwans fans in Andheri East, a new outlet has opened in Marol outside Mittal Industries near the Marol Naka Metro Station as Mumbai's favourite cake shop continues to grow.

Location ideal, but no parking space for 4 wheelers. Morning and Evening area is complete traffic jam
Staff are not courteous
They will make you beg for paper bag.... - poor management
Must visit despite service issues

There was so much crowd on a afternoon too,
Great place for quick catch-up with a friend or a gossip with long lost friend. Serves pizza tooo, didn't get a chance to taste tho but smells gooood alreadyyyyyyyy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been frequent visitor of Merwans in Andheri west, then Merwans in jb nagar. Finally Merwans opened up in marol had the same standards of taste in terms of pastries, pattice & cakes. A must visit place for pastry & cake lovers & rates are also reasonable comparing prices of high end branded shops like theobrama, Ribbons & Baloons. This shop is located besides Ccd on the busy Andheri-kurla Road.

Merwans has variety of Puffs & Cakes, Pastries, etc...
We ordered Veg puffs, Plum Cake and a 2Kg bday cake. Everyhing was amazing.
The only problem is they charge a heavy delivery charge of you want a home delivery.
Also you can try their Biscuits, NanKhatai, etc treats...
P.S: The shop is closed on Thursdays...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Merwans cakes are one of the most popular and oldest cake shops in Mumbai. I specially like the veg puff and pastries. I visited the marol naka shop and I ordered the veg puff. Veg puff was very good but they are not provided the sauce/ ketchup. Other merwans cake shop provide the sauces.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Merwans outlet at Saki Naka is a well stocked bakery that sells every pastry, baked savoury and confectionery product that you can imagine. The taste of all the items are awesome. The Christmas special plum cake is super delicious. The cashew macaroons are finger-licking good. Anjeer cookies amazingly crunchy and tasty.
Year-end specials are not to be missed. Cashless, contactless payments are available.
