BMW Automotive, Gurgaon, Haryana, India: You decide for yourself! I recently purchased a brand new BMW 320d Luxury Line from Bird Automotive. Very Short Summary: ~How am I as BMW customer expected to continue any dealings with a BMW dealership that has: a) Messed up every single document for this car. I am not even sure if it is 2018 or 2019! b) Managed to chip the alloy during a simple task of replacing the tire. c) Graduated from being incompetent to unprofessional and now dishonest! d) Delivered a car without proper PDI which has 12 defects! P.S. Luckily, I had opened a board level case (1907635_BOARD CASE) with BMW Germany which I will now follow up aggressively! Hopefully, the brand promise will kick in! Disclaimer: If you decide to purchase a BMW from Bird Automotive, please make a note of the following: ~Their SA will all tell you that you can pay INR2lacs as a booking amount as this amount is fully refundable if you decide not to purchase from them. The reality is that the proforma invoice clearly states that this amount is non-refundable! The SA who sold the car to me was busy on his phone refusing customers the full refund of their booking amount. If you continue to insist then they will deduct INR50000/- and refund the rest! ~There is no such thing as "BMW Add On Insurance". Their SA will commit several things verbally just to get you to buy a car from them. During the final stages of negotiations, they will offer you discounts and then actually issue you a cheaper insurance policy by removing features! ~Ensure that you have everything sent to you in an email while dealing with them. Do not think that BMW India has this covered for you! ~Ensure you check each and every documentation as you will surely find errors! ~Spend several hours inspecting the car before taking delivery. Inspect the underbody also. ~Ensure you take pictures and make a video of your car (especially the area that will be worked on) before handing over the car to them. It is very important that you inspect the car before taking delivery after service or repairs. ~They are used to receiving similar compliant so the best you can expect from them is a notional extended warranty of approx INR1lac.
