MithaWali Forest Rest House (FRH)
Rajaji Tiger Reserve is the 48th Tiger Reserve of the country. It used to be a sanctuary of 246 sq km and now has grown to a tiger reserve with an area of 1057.17 sq km.
Rajaji tiger reserve has faced many grave issues in the past. Some of those were the relocation of van gujjars from a large area of the reserve, restoration of habitat, establishing good connectivity of the animal corridors, and monitoring and patrolling of the reserve to control poaching. This has resulted in improved tiger count in the reserve.
