About Modern Bazaar
Kunaal Kumar, Director, Modern Bazaar joined the family business in 1991. The year 2004, was the testing time for Modern Bazaar. A fire hazard in the Basant Lok branch reduced the outlet into cinders. “Fire is the test of gold; adversity, of strong men.” said Martha Graham. Taking a leaf out of this, Kunaal Kumar, rebuilt Modern Bazaar with added enthusiasm, energy and customer service. Since then, there has been no looking back for Kunaal Kumar and Modern Bazaar with their loyal customers appreciating their offers and service.
Today, Modern Bazaar has 16 outlets, all managed solely by Kunaal Kumar. Delhi region boasts of a store each in Vasant Vihar, East of Kailash, Kailash Colony, Defence Colony, New Friends Colony, Punjabi Bagh, Dwarka, Green Park and the Premium Store at Select City Walk, Saket. Gurgaon prides itself with a store each in DLF Phase 1, SS Plaza Sec-47, CyberHub and Worldmark Sec-65. Modern Bazaar opened it's first Store in Noida at Berger Tower, Sector 16B in 2020 & a second store in Noida at Hush Food Mall, Sector 63 in 2021. Every outlet is managed by Modern Bazaar, there are no franchisee model and all outlets offer Home Delivery for convenience coupled with customer delight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although it's a nice store, their customer servicing is lax. They forgot to pack a pac of feta cheese that I was bilked for and even after making 5 calls they did not bother to call back. So I paid but did not get the product. Getting careless. Too many customers I suppose

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well laid-out and planned. Deducted 1 star because the staff was quite unpleasant, and another because a lot of their bakery items were near expiry. Considering this is one of their busiest outlets, they should manage their inventory for baked goods accordingly.
Also, nobody was following COVID safety protocol. Had to ask multiple staff members to put their masks on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Modern Bazaar is a great department store and located at a pretty prime location in this area. They have decent parking space in front of the store (8-10 cars) but during rush hours there is alot of crowd and chance of parking spot is close to none (just a heads up) . Infact during rush hours (after office time) the whole store gets pretty crowded and it can be a task to navigate as a few lines of goods are a bit too thin.
Before entering the trolleys and carts are available and one can take them and enter. Moment one enters there is the fresh Fruits and Vegetables section with alot of organic and imported items. They have some great variety of selection available for vegetables and fruits here. After selecting and taking the item there is a kiosk on the side where a person (generally always) where u have to put the fresh items into a paper bag and get it weighed . If you don't do that billing wouldn't happen and would take up your time and have seen this happen to too many people prior to this and thus another heads up.
They have a bakery section which makes fresh breads and baked goods . Have had great quality bread from here previously. Then there is the cheese and meats section which has a huge variety of fresh and imported meats and cheeses . There is also a small portion where the organic chicken , wild Atlantic salmon , eggs etc are kept . Prices are decent for many good but a few items can be very expensive . They also time to time have indian salmon which also I have tried and is great in my experience. So are the Indian avocados and funny enough I once found them to be much better than the imported ones which is 3 times the price.
The sauce, dressing etc section is massive with Indian aswell as imported goods available. They have all kinds of sauces in all types of price points. I got a Remia Cream Salad dressing which I highly recommend . They also have a place in the basement where there are many other items like homecare , personal care goods available.
The best part about the store is the service and hygiene . Though it may look a bit "dark" the place is very clean and there are more than enough employees present all over the place and very helpful. Overall a great experience buying from here.

It has its own bakery section - live preparation of Breads, Buns, Croissants, Muffins, Pizza base, Cookies, Cakes, Pastries, Patties, Garlic Breads, Cup Cakes, etc. Also available raw Meat, Chicken and Egg. They have Sausages, Salamis, Meat Balls, frozen Prawns, Aloo Tikki, French fries, etc. Rates are moderately high being premium store.
