★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I myself studied here in Modern High for 12 long years. Tremendous favouritism (wrongfully) of the faculty are enough to ruin the ideology of life with students & lower their moral permanently. Students are subjected to extreme suppression. Over-attitude of the faculty towards students. Doubts (any questions) in academics are never clarified by teachers. Teachers do not give private tuition also, so doubts remain doubts forever. Faculty is very selective to particular strata of students; whether Bengali, Non-Bengali, Marwari, Muslim etc. Accordingly Project Marks are discussed & decided within the Faculty Staff-Room. For instance, when the Faculty decides to suppress a student, then in the Board Exam year, they provide poor marks in projects. Seeing the poor marks provided by one's own school, the Board Examiner who corrects Theory papers, in the beginning itself has a weak, impotent impression of the student; which definitely affects the Main Paper marks.
But after completing my M.Sc from a Government University; right now I am doing my PhD from a Government University also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything is great out here. I have done my course from here in 2018's batch, it was a wonderful experience to be a part of it. Got to learn a lot of thing through the course. The teachers & faculty members are just the kindest of beings I've ever come across. They're really educated, knowledgeable, helpful, supportive & encouraging. And fewer of them are biased , I felt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alltm we hear that excellent school is MHS, may be.. but this year they arranged their online interview only for EYE WASH, bcz when all parents are taking mental preparation from 5th June 2021, online form fill up n there had lot of criterias. After that School mailed to us selection process will be through random selection, n interview started was 45 mins late, Mrs Devi Kar n Mrs Confectioner were there. Mrs kar just told us " its not an interview only chitchat.." Selection depends on your child's luck..they never asked a ques to child.
They have selected 850 candidates for interview ( each form 1000 Rs ). After 3 months when they posted their selection list only 150 candidates. As a parent my question is if MHS is a reputated n famous school, in Kolkata, even India also.. so why Lottery system?? Why random selection ? Why lottery did not arranged in front of parents.
We don't know which on basis they have selected... as per their mail they didn't take interview also. Mrs Confectioner was totally silent. MHS should be maintain their transparency. Even I know some families they admitted their children through back door, huge money. Above 3lkhs.
It was totally unexpected from MHS ... rubbish school. If you have huge money, business man n influential person then your deaf n dumb child can get also admission. Only you have to spend huge money..
That's all.
Every year people wait for this school admission bcz they blv in honesty, good education etc..
Horrible experience..not a single ques they asked to our child... I hate this school n shame on Mrs Devi Kar.
