★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is very old temple of lord ShivSankar before I was born and the greatest thing is you will get shocked after hearing it that the shivling get increase 2inch every year by its own.
Many people's tried to repair the temple but no one was able to do that and no one knows about why they were unable to do that.... It's still in the same condition it was earlier. The shocking is also very big in size Nd in hight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the oldest Shiva temples in North Kolkata. Those people who go to Bhootnath temple, please do not forget to visit Mota Mahadev's temple after Bhootnath.
The Shivling of this temple is thick in size, hence this temple is called Mota Mahadev Temple. Banyan vines are swinging like the hair of Lord Shiva from the top of the temple.

Located in very narrow lane. But this place have spiritual blessings and peace of mind. People keep on visiting and offer prayer even when the temple is closed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a very nice temple. Especially the Shivling is very much big, each and every day the Shivling is designed beautifully. I will recommend if you're in North Kolkata and a worshipper of God (Mahadev) then you must visit this temple. Har Har Mahadev ?. Sometimes the Shivling is designed with Chocloates Kaju, Cardamon etc..I have uploaded the pictures ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're one the devotee of Mahadev then your most vidu this table of mota baba.
The name is really relatable to the size of the shiv linga over here in the temple. The local legend says that baba often come out of the temple and go to the Ganga river is not protected and fenced properly.
The peace over here is really unmatched and do everything but touching the baba.
There are many stories that time around over here. Har har mahadev
