Millions of devotees arrive on Special occasions. Mondays are amongst the busiest. The Temple is very clean. Lots of stalls that allow devotees to keep their shoes and sell holy offering like flowers, sweets, insence sticks, candles and many more. The Holy river flows by where devotees dip themselves before visiting the Lord. Nice food outlets can be found nearby. Two wheeler parking is convenient but like most places in Kolkata Four Wheeler Parking is an issue. No such organised parking space for four wheelers, you'll have to find a spot yourself.

Baba Bhootnath Dham is one of the most holy sites in Kolkata. It is believed that the temple is more than 300 years old. The form of Shiva worshipped here is the Pre-Nataraja form of God. The tradition here is to worship Lord Shiva with the ashes of a burnt body from the cremation ground beside. It is considered that in this holy site all wishes come true and therefore it is also known as Kaamna Poorti Mahadev. Being on the banks of river Hooghly, the place is absolutely stunning at evening time with long prayers and conch shells against the river back drop.

The reason behind me giving four stars is the management. I have been here for years and in all these years I faced many things which are not at all decent. Other than the peace offered by baba, you will get rude attitude of the pandits. You will witness special treatment of the rich by the pandits and along with that you will face the rudeness of the vendors nearby, only after you try to return something you already bought. The beggers will not disturb you if you don't want to give anything to them but there's is always a social opportunity for you to feed the beggers by paying small business men/women. Chai of the tiwari is just unmatched and yes, do not think about anything and just devout yourself into the praying of baba bhootnath, you will achieve success. Also, if you make any mannat, do visit the mandir after the completion of your wish ! May father bless you ! Father is god, father is allaah, father is the one above all. Har har mahadev!!! Om namah shivay!!!

Baba Bhootnath Temple of Lord Shiva just next to Nimtala Burning ghat...Besides the cremation ground at Nimtala Ghat, stands one of the most underrated and ancient temples of the state. Baba Bhootnath Dham is considered as a holy site where all wishes come true and therefore, its also known as Kaamna Poorti Mahadev. The Bhootnath form of Lord Shiva is being worshipped here, which is the pre-Nataraja form of God. Nothing much is known about its origin but all people speak about the 300 years old tradition of worshipping Lord Shiva with the ashes of a burnt body from the cremation ground beside.

Famous Lord Shiva temple of Kolkata beside Nimtala burning ghat. It is about more than 300 hundred years old. The area of the temple is very consested but the sprit of the temple is very high. Arati of this temple is worth seeing and you can feel the vibration.

The place has another level of energy itself,You should come here except shivratri or come early in the morning otherwise you have to be in line like 2 to 3 hours to go inside the temple. I didn't even get a chance to go in but anyway bhole is everywhere so you can worship from outside too.Have faith have wonderful life???
