Watched my first ever নাটক called ডাকঘর (by R. N. Tagore) here...
The drama industry here is fading away with time and It's a duty of every bengalis to patronize and stand by the small bengali drama troops and hence support the bengali art and drama ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heritage place. But needs maintenance badly. The acoustics is better than other smaller theaters. Location is a big plus but lack of parking spot is a big minus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you wish you had a time machine and can go back decades to Bengal's root of theatre culture then this place still has evidence of it in it's rusty broken chairs and behind it's shadowed walls. In a way it's good that it has not been renovated to a modern auditorium. Very nostalgic for people who must have long lost connection with the generation that inspired them to appreciate theatre and acting.

Environment is beautiful.
One can find the schedule of performance on this stage and come here for spending some good time. Even I love this place after my first visit.
