Horrible experience with Muskan Tour and Travels and would not recommend them to my friends, family or fellow travellers. We had organised a car to take us from Alwa to Mathura. That is 250km round trip (you have to pay both ways which is ok). Initially we were told 11 rupee/km, but then extra because we want a bigger car. So we were told 2700 final price. We were told the car would take 5-10 minutes to arrive. The driver did not turn up and after we called again, the agent advised that the driver was five minutes away but that the price would be no more than 3300 but it could be cheaper. We agreed and waited for the driver for another 40 minutes. We finally got the car and the agent apologised for the delay. On route, the driver stopped off to organise his washing. When we arrived in Mathura the driver stated that the price was 3700 and that the agreed price did not include tax. We informed him the final price was agreed and that we would pay no more that 3300. He refused to let us enter our hotel and continued to demand more money from us. We called the agent who stated he had forgetten to include tax and the price was 3700. We gave the driver 3500 and walked away after the hotel manager also had to intervine. He said they were trying to rip us off, which we knew. We have travelled a lot by car around India and never had tax or road tolls be added on after the trip has been completed. The price agreed is the price agreed. We dont know what the taxes are and rely on travel companies to know this and incorporate it into the quote. We have never been treated so poorly and taken advantage of by a travel agency. The manager then called that night and stated that they had made a mistake and requested that I do not post a negative review because I am a good person. He advised me he would refund me 500 rupees for me not to post the review... Not because of their mistake but just not for the negative review... Either way he advised he would organise for the money to be transfered to the hotel that night and put towards our room. The money did not arrive that night or this morning.. Either way I would have posted the review because it is a true reflection of how we were treated by this agency and advising fellow travellers of this scamming company is what a "good" person would do.
