On October 5, a new history was created as the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee shifted the seat of power from Writers' Buildings to 'Nabanna' at Mandirtala in Howrah.
Nabanna is a 15-storey HRBC building across the Hooghly river in Howrah district. It is painted blue and white.
Apart from the chief minister's chamber at the 14th floor and the parts of the CMO including the chief secretary and home secretary's rooms at the 13th floor, almost all the other floors with of the chief minister's office (CMO), home, finance, land and land reforms, disaster management and other departments are unfinished.
