★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a very big junction in the route from South to north. Like most of the south Rajdhani Trains go via Nagpur. However it is not very clean and in terms of hygiene they have to improve a lot. Most of the trains stop at least 5-10 minutes in this station. On can buy oranges as it is orange city. It is one of the hottest places in summer and temperatures reaches 50 C in mid summer.

The main building of the station has waiting rooms for the passengers. A reception-cum-lounge is provided in the retiring rooms for the comfort of passengers during the check-in/check-out period. There are two entry/exit gates for entering and leaving the station premises. The west-end Sitabuldi side is the main entry point, other is from the cotton market side.
