It’s a great place to visit with family. We were even lucky to catch a site of a Leopard ? on our way out from the park, right next to the road 3 feet away from our car. Best time to visit is 6-9 AM and 4-6 PM - more chances to see some animals!

Most memorable moments of my childhood jungle trips with my grandfather, this amazing log Hut is itself an experience to witness the wilderness essence. If has been made with lots of taste and practicalities, especially the balcony to have a view of lake and it's forest, which gives opportunity to see wildlife, we got to see some mammals, birds, butterflies and alarm calls with a tiger roar this was a family summer trip of 1983, where still some memories are left fresh to cherish. Nagzira has been beautiful wildlife jungle destination with meaningful sightings. Even today one can seek permission for this log huts with field director.

Nagzira tiger reserve is located about 120kms from the tiger capital of India - Nagpur. This is one of the most beautiful forests that I have been to. The flora and fauna in this park is diverse. The elusive big cats, dhole, variety of antelopes among many others house this tiger reserve. Staying in the FDCM forest rest houses which are located about 10kms inside the core area is an experience in itself. Just one disclaimer, do not go to this forest with tiger sighting on mind, go for the experience, and beauty! The experience that you get here, is rare among other tiger reserves in the country. FDCM frh is a must! Hiring a safari jeep for the entire duration of your stay in FDCM is a mandate.

Went there in last week ie Oct 17 Booked online, morning slot Forest was quite dense and cool, guide was also good, but sad part is was not able to locate many species there. As per discussion with guide if you wanna see good amount of animals than go there near June evening slot.

Our trip to Nagzira in March 2020 turned out better than expected. We saw wild dogs (dhols), a female leopard, langur, spotted deer, sambar deer, nilgai, peacocks, gaur, wild boar, owl in the space of three safaris. The Central Indian jungle gives a serene feeling and it was very soothing to experience nature and wildlife from an open Jeep. Our driver and guide were friendly and knew the forest well though we had to often poke them to tell us few things. We stayed at FDCM Nagzira resort and it was quite a unique experience to stay inside the core zone of a tiger reserve. Few people saw a leopard couple at the resort restaurant at night and there are almost always deer and langurs very close to the restaurant.

Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary is a rich biodiversity park located near Nagpur in Maharashtra. The park boasts of a vast variety of flora and fauna and houses exotic species of animals, birds and plants. The park also has a cottage to facilitate accommodation for the visiting guests which in itself is a unique experience. Besides, it has a temple of snakes located right in the centre of the Sanctuary.
