Want to spend some quality time in a calm place but don't have more than a day in your hand then Nandi Hills is a good option. I had a memorable experience,I advice bike journey rather than car. Whatever you choose you must reach before Sunrise as this is a wonderful view from this hill, start early 5 o'clock and you will reach in 1.30 hours to the place you, will be amazed with the view. The journey from the centre of Bangalore is more not more than 2 hours, you get to spend the entire day in cool green beautiful place. If you want to stay and relax in the greenery there is a park just lie down under the trees and unwind all your stress if you want a cool Breeze go towards the rocks and enjoy. We have a restaurant with good taste of southern food. Interesting spots: Tippu summer rest house Small Temple insidr a lower cave near the rest house. Tippu drop A temple on a hills. Advice : Be careful , don't feed monkeys up there. Don't try daring feats near tippu drop or any edges of the rocks.

Nandhi hills is easily the best place for a weekend long drive The hills isn’t so big but the climate is usually so good and there is a plenty of place for bike and car parking and even there are so many shops to eat. The only con is in weekends it will be crowded mostly because of the beautiful weather! A must go place in Bangalore ❤️

Inspite of being in Bangalore for 4 months now, we had never did the sunrise trip to Nandi Hills before. The gates to Nandi Hills opens @ 5.30 am & when we reached around 5.15 am, there were already about 30 cars & a dozen bikes. Parking before the gates are very haphazard. Once the gates open, one has to drive to the top & buy tickets. There is a nice viewing platform to view the sunrise. The sunrise itself is stunning especially on a clear day. The Elevation on the top is around 4850 ft so wear warm clothes. Can be very chilly in winter. There is also a bit of sightseeing to do after the sunrise. There is a decent restaurant on the bottom of the hill. Lovely experience but the authorities can do a better job in organizing the cars in a orderly way before the gates open. Do carry your camera and good wind cheaters as its too windy there.

Very nice Hill with forest , calm and quite. Beautiful place to visit , just 60kms from Bengaluru. Can spend full day here. Just right for family picnics. Another feature of this hill is that it is monolithic , meaning the complete hill is a one piece granite rock. There is lord Shiva Temple on the hill, the inside is decorated with carved pillars. There is one Big Nandi also and you have ask the local people about how to go there. I have seen this Nandi in Black Granite Stone.

One can enjoy the beauty of nature in its fullness and sun rise ? Wonderful experience while riding up and down the hill. Earlier morning is the best time to explore the hill and it's near by place.

For the nature lover it’s very nice place as you can see the sunrise from top of the hill while sipping the hot tea/coffee. Best place for spending the quality time in early morning. Cold breeze and view will refresh the mind

Lovely place. Been there before pandemic and landslides. Life was good then. Rented a bike and had a stay there. Better to go with a group as heard few incidents of loot and all. Have a group or leave in morning, reach there and if youre lazy like me plan a stay there at Mayur’s hilltop. Lovely that one. The view from rooms is amazing. Waking up early and you can see mist ? and fog. As the sun rises the view gets clear.
