Shree Khokon Nanda sponsored a major amount for purchasing the plot and to construct the temple in memorial of his parents. Every year from Akshay Tritia puja is done here for eight days and this puja is termed as ASTAHA PUJA. Several functions occur during this time. All local villagers participate in this ASTAHA PUJA. Many cultural programmes are arranged during this time. HARILOOTH of BATASA is also an attraction during this time. Apart from this normal puja is done here every.day
