It's a govt funded non profit organisation. Blind (Karnataka) is a private not-for-profit organization that provides services and solutions to individuals without regard to social status, race, religion, gender or age. NAB is overseen by a Governing Council and Managing Committee , many of whom are ex-students who have been absorbed into the training stream. Visually impaired school/college graduates are trained in skills that qualify them as potential candidates for white collar jobs [that require computer usage and programming skills] in banks, insurance companies and other roles in the private, public and government sectors. Our capacity is being scaled from 40 beneficiaries per year to over 100 beneficiaries per year. They provide computer courses for blind. These computer vocational courses impart computer skills that qualify the Visually impaired as potential candidates for white collar jobs [that require computer usage and programming skills in banks, insurance companies and other roles in the private, public and government sectors. The vocational courses being offered are continuously aligned with the latest market trends and present day industrial requirements.
