Probably the best place in kolkata for treatment related to neuro medicine or neuro surgery. We met Dr. Ashis Das ( neuro-medicine) and later Dr. Prasad Krishnan (neuro-surgery). The NNC is the best place for any neuro related problems.

Treats complicated diseases in neuro problems. Not understood why it is nested in Peerless Hospital while it would have been another branch of the hospital. Is it due to administrative issues or commercial reasons. However, doctors are good, especially Dr Prasad Krishnan.

The doctors are skilful but not at all well managed. Most of the doctors don't follow the time table mentioned in website. You need to spent 4-5 hours to consult. For ex a doctor's time is 10-12 AM, so you reached at 9.30 AM. But there is a high chances doctor will start at around 12- 1 PM. Then wait for your turn. This problem is specific to NNC Peerless, not for other departments.

I would strictly suggest not to go to this institute for treatment at all. Not only the stuffs but also the doctors like Dr. Ashish Bhattacharya behave with patients in such an impolite manner which is beyond description. I am a scientist. Therefore, I never suggest anyone to go to a random doctors without analyzing their career graph. I saw the doctors profile from internet, their publications etc from which I had an impression that at least doctors are good there although I already knew from some of my friends about the behavior of the stuffs there. But what I missed while doing this analysis is that, the primary and very basic condition to be a good doctor is to be a good human being first. Then only the doctor can be empathetic with patients and could be trusted to take care of the patient. One doesn't deserve to get so much bad behavior specially where they are paying a lot of money to get a special care. Getting bad behavior from govt hospitals is justified since there are overcrowd of patients and patients get treated there with a minimal cost. The doctors at govt hospitals are quite competent and the only reason to avoid there is the limited availability of doctors due to that overcrowd. Otherwise if all the recent medical scams (in west bengal) are counted in a percentage manner then scams at these kind of private institutes contribute much higher percentage compare to govt hospitals. The logic behind it is this 'doctors turned businessman' scenario.

I was admitted at Peerless hospital related to bone injury few months back. I found a good Para medical staff n v good doctors. N above all Dr. Prasad Krishnan God sent him to save my life. He is truly devoted to his profession n keeps a patient,s health above all. Being so busy throughout the day but not a single patient will be ignored. Truly a magnanimous personality. Wish all the drs.can follow their profession in the true spirit like Dr. Krishnan. Hat's off to him n his team.

Had a BAD experience more than a year back while getting my father treated who ultimately passed away. We were left extremely dissatisfied with the overall quality of treatment. Other than extracting loads of money, this place is also mismanaged. More appalling is the attitude of few doctors who for some misplaced reason think that they are doing some favour to patients ! Bigger joke is the arrogance of few junior doctors who without even having an iota of achievement and being trainees behave as if they are Nobel laureates !! Admin staffs are nice and cooperative though. STRONG RECOMMENDATION would be to AVOID this place !
