Its one of a kind goverment institute in India, who offer free education in the field of theatre. You can watch performance by its students free of cost. It organises national level theatre festival every year, in which participation is from all around the world.It also organises children theatre festival every year. Its offer summer theatre workshop for children. You will love it's campus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down, the best theatre school in the country today from where many stalwarts have passed out and are big names today in the commercial realm of Hindi cinema.
I visited NSD for the first time today & was blown away by the wonderful infrastructure and the beautiful premises. No wonder then, that this is the best drama school in the country today. Enjoyed just being there for the Theatre Olympics event and couldn't help but wonderful how lucky the students must be.
A great experience indeed.
