After having been disappointed by all the other schools I have been to, my mother finally decided to try this school. The principal, Sister Jayarani, was kind to us even at the time of admission. She assured me that I won't be bullied here. And the students were, indeed, extremely compassionate. The school facilities were fine too but not the best. I felt the campus was not big enough and some of the classrooms felt crowded. But the same is in many other schools. Each classroom had about 55 students but no compromise was made on the quality of the education provided. There are many great teachers here who are very passionate about their subjects. One can always approach them for assistance. They are very supportive. One does not even need to attend those "classes", which have gained a lot of popularity recently and are thought to be a must for students studying in class 10. However, I have to say that some teachers are not good enough. This school is fairly new and recruiting good teachers is difficult nowadays in Vasai. Most of you, however, will not be troubled by this as the education offered here, is better than that at other schools, and the teachers are well experienced. Many competitions and EAA keep the students busy throughout the year. According to many students I know, attending this school is a fun experience. The teachers, themselves, encourage us to participate in them. We truly felt they cared for us. We were accepted there for who we were. Students with disorders were provided assistance. The school uniform, itself, deserves praise. It consists of a red skirt and a white shirt both of which are easy to wear and comfortable. The other uniform, which we are supposed to wear on Wednesdays, is, however, not really comfortable. The principal has been considerate enough to plan to change it. Unlike the other schools in Vasai run by Christian nuns, we were given a lot of freedom here. We did not have to ask for permission to drink water. We don't feel forced to do anything though what we wish to do is certainly against the school rules. We, surely, were not excused for submitting our assignments late but were not harshly treated. We were never abused, physically or verbally. The principal is quite understanding of the problems students already face. Normal school education makes children feel like salves or, at least, like prisoners but not here. We were respected by the staff. The teachers, honestly, felt like our friends rather than prison guards. According to me, they treat every student equally, a quality which is lacking in many other schools. A few of the things that disappointed me here were that we were asked to remove our shoes before entering some particular rooms while the staff could wear them and that the campus was not really spacious. Outside the school building, there were not enough shady places for the students to occupy on sunny days though we were required to be outside during the break. And the other thing I do not like is that it is an SSC school and, perhaps due to that very fact, the choice of subjects offered is not really wide. The principal is, as I know, trying her best to ameliorate the school facilities and also improve the other areas where the school has been lacking. I cannot praise her too much. She is exceptionally kind and true to her principles. Hypocrisy is not seen much in this school. If there is anything in particular I would like to say about this school, it is that the atmosphere here was very friendly and friendly is, indeed, the best word to describe it. In short, I recommend this school if you live in Vasai and do not wish to commute to Mumbai to receive education, and also wish to study in an SSC school.
