Centre of PSC AE (Civil) examination on 29.11.2020. This near Netajinagar Vidyamandir but not the same building. This is at opposite side of the road that is there is a road between two schools.

This is a very good HS school at Netaji Nagar. This school has been established on 2nd January, 1951. There were Commerce and Science streams in HS level and from 2003 the Arts stream has been introduced.The school has a 'E'- shaped three storeyed structure. There are about 36 class rooms, One computer lab with about 20 computers, One Biology lab with a huge collection of real insects, and other animals and plants . Even there is a real human skeleton in its collection. There are Physics, Chemistry and Geography lab where instruments are fully loaded and beautifully arranged. The school has a very big library with huge collection of books . A very neat and clean kitchen has been made for Mid day meal. A small ground is present. And there is a stage at the end of the ground. There are two big trees within the school premises , one is Bakul and another is Kadam. A long cycle stand shade has been made under the tree. Threr is a long flower garden maintained by the students. The school had a big play ground nearby. The ground is now known as Netaji Nagar Day College Ground. Now there are 40 Staff including Teaching, nonteaching and group D . The school has a glorious history. This school is the ultimate result of a long fight of the local people of Netaji Nagar. Dr. Prasanta Sur ( former mayor of kolkata, health minister of West Bengal) was honourable president of this school for a long time. The SFI has originated from this school and the very first SFI meeting was held at this school. This school has been shown in Tapan Sinha's film ' Aadalat o ekti meye '. The school has donate their playground and a part of land for the establishment of Netaji Nagar Day College. The school is very famous for its academic as well as co-curicular activities. In 1981 a student of this school got the 10th highest marks in madhyamik. The school football team has won in numerous trophy in different school and district level. Many cultural programme like singing, dancing, play are organised by the school throughout the year. So many students of this school are doing their jobs in different places of the world . Some of the brilliant students like Professor Dr. Biswajit Guha, Actor Jiban Guha, Sakti Thakur ( Father of singer Manali Thakur) , Atanu Biswas ( professor of ISI) Football player Tushar Rakshit....... Many students of this school serve as teachers of this school. The school has a clear view towards the students -- try to be a good man not a rich man.

Government sponsored higher secondary school bof boys only... Nice and clean class rooms. Teacher are good. School is easy to locate from the road. Rooms are small. Doesn't even comfortably accommodate 40 students... Even have a adjacent small play group. But the bathroom is pathetic... Doesn't even have a water tap for washing hands... The bathroom is not even cleaned very often... Very dirty...

Ramen stores and Gift was adding there name with a well-known government school for promotion. This is illegal. I request to change the name in google map as নেতাজি নগর বিদ্যামন্দির
