It is under the administration of Guntur Railway Division of South Central Railway zone. It is the second railway station, alongside the main station of Guntur in the city.

Only autos are available for going to Guntur city and they charge 30 rupees for each person even though the distance is around a kilometer only.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I saw an accident today (Jan 18, 2022) at this station when I got off Double decker train from Visakhapatnam to Tirupati. A man has lost his legs while running after this train when it's departing. Trains stop hardly for a minute and people would generally have hard time getting on it. I urge people not to risk their lives just to catch a train. I hope Indian railways take necessary precautions to make sure such things never happen again. It would be better if trains stop at this station till people have enough time to deboard and onboard the train.
Please be cautious at this station and remember that you will sometimes face difficulty finding out your coach in this short time. So, instead get on the coach that is near to you and move to your coach after you enter the train.

It is better take reservation and tatkal train ticket here crowd are very low .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the 2nd station of guntur.Station maintainance is good.But station is isolated and located in nehru nagar.Very few trains halt here.
Parking space is sufficiently ok.
Connectivity is the main issue as of now. if the capital is finalized it can see a development.Hope it'll turnout to be a busy junction and prosper towards the development around the region???
There is a new police station opened next to Railway station recently to control the crimes around station area.
