★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In 1959 , his holiness Dalai Lama himself personally inaugurated this monastery. I'm adding pictures so you can get the proper pictures even from the outside. In comparison to the other one's I've visited in India it's fairly new. The paintings are still brimming with life as it's only 60 years old. we were not allowed to take pictures inside as usual but they are restricting a lot of places inside. I can only assume that ill mannered people are the root cause of this. please be respectful while you visit such places and build a better future relationship for tourists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An epic place to visit. Very colourful place with incredible amount of flowers in the garden. Lots of monks to meet from children to adults. Significant exposure to Buddhism and its culture. Highly recommened place. Please do visit once.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the largest Buddhist Monastery in eastern india. In winters the climate becomes more awesome. Must visit to learn more about buddhist culture and enjoy the vibes of this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very Peaceful Place. Experience the buddhist culture. Cool valley area. Make sure of food as it’s not very accessible there. All the cafeteria and shop close at 7 PM. Visit all temple and spin yantras. Go there and feel the vibe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Peaceful location and beautiful architecture. This Tibetan Buddhist monestry was inaugurated by his holiness Dalai Lama. Around 150 monks study here religion and spirituality. Nearby pond boating is available. Souvenir shop and canteen is also available in the premises. En route you can see Tibetan refugees house also. Must visit tourist attractions.
