โ โ โ โ โ I just loved it from the start to the end. Valet Parking available, which is definitely required given the congested street. There are 2 outlets one for which I am writing the review the other is a Cafe called "Pali Cafe" which I will visit soon too.
As we walked the place was packed to capacity and thus we were asked to wait for sometime till the seats were being cleared. I also liked their thoughtfulness of providing the menu so that we can order as we wait. This helped us to get our order as soon as we are seated.
Try out the Kala Khatta if you are a teetotaller. I ordered myself a beer and Banana leaf Baked fish. Bengalis do eat a similar dish of Bhetki baked with Mustard but this one was Red snapper baked in a green chutney which was a combo of Dhaniya, curd and chilli. It was hot and totally enjoyed at my end and the quantity was good enough for a meal. Ideally to be shared between 2 person as 3 pieces are provided wrapped in bana leaf
For a change we also tried out a Veg dish called Besan Palak Kofta which was unique and extremely delicious . We ate it with Choora Paratha. The gravy had a liberal dose of Besan along with Kaju and tomato paste, while the Kofta was made of Palak. I have to agree it was one of the best Kofta I ever had.
The staff was very prompt and helpful and I am definitely coming back

โ โ โ โ โ Food was really nice, i liked the decor a lot too! It was pretty hot though despite the fact that the AC was on, but they didnโt turn on the fans. The tandoori khumb (mushroom) was the best!

โ โ โ โ โ Just loved the ambience and decor. So old world and classy. The soft lighting and wooden furniture has its own charm.
Starters and main course were delicious. The mocktails were well spun.
Service was quick and personalized.
Book in advance. It's packed even on weekdays.

โ โ โ โ โ Heard so much about this place and we visited. Ambience was very unique with antique aesthetics.
We ordered Matar tikki chat and it came deconstructed, visually appealing and tasted good as well. Later, we ordered Galouti kebab, taste was pretty good but the quantity was super less.
For main course , we ordered Neer dosa and Alleppey fish curry. The fish curry tasted heavy coconuty and looks like readymade coconut milk was used which was so strong in taste and we couldn't eat and started feeling nauseous while consuming. Felt better only after we stopped eating and we all felt the same nauseous feeling while consuming. Not sure what was overpowering and gave that feeling.
And we ordered Paan kulfi as dessert and it came wrapped in betel leaf, unexpected packing and tasted nice. And we ordered Peru Pyala - Guava and spices juice which tasted yum.
Overall a memorable experience! But definitely the team has to look into that fish curry preparation.

โ โ โ โ โ Wonderful place with really amazing food. We were the first customer on a weekday so we had the place to ourselves. They have intentionally created a very antique ambience but don't be fooled. This place only opened in 2012 I think.
We ordered the mashed mushrooms, crispy bombil, laal maas, alepey fish. All of the dishes were really good. Both the fish dishes were especially juicy and tender.
The laal maas, while good, didn't really have the hearty taste to the curry that one would expect from bone broth. I asked the server and he said that they slow cook the leg in the curry but I suspect they cook the leg separately and then just marry it with the curry after getting a customer order. In any case, it was really good but not hearty enough.
All in all, we were quite happy with the place but it is a bit hard to find. There is no signage to show where the restaurant is.
