Well I'm a student of government polytechnic dhenkanal. We started a trip towards pandaba bakhara by a scooty, its just 40min-45min from dhenkanal. Its very good place for photography. You could see all of things from high reach of the mountain. It gives us a precious memory to us?. I give three stars to this place ⭐⭐⭐

It was an adventurous & increadible journey for me, we carried 4 bottles i.e. 4 litres of water. You have to climb a lot of steps, so be careful & there will be an instructor who will be giving instructions where to go & he will show you the way & they will also take money from you. You will feel your breathing rate going up and your body will lose water much faster, Go at your own risk, No doubt it is an amazing place to see the caves & experience nature. Your risk of dehydration will increased as I get dehydrated out side just because of loss of water & sunlight.

Surrounded by nature, this hill was one heck of a trek. I visited it in peak summers so the temperatures were freaking high but the view made it worth the climb. I was guided by a local to climb on the mountain. Thr are tiny caves n paintings done by pre historic people. Please do wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Not recommend for children below 10 and people who have heart problems, breathing issues and ortho problems. DO CARRY WATER.

If you love mountains and trekking, you must trek once. Be careful while trekking. Don't throw garbage in the place and above the mountain. For your safety, you can take a guide, who might take up to 50-100Rs per person.do give it a try. Usually crowded on the weekend. For parking, 10- 20 Rs is charged. For any queries, you can contact me.

Note:- Only issue is that there is just one path to the hill that the locals intently hide using bushes. They charge you to show the path. Beware of the locals. It is a place with lush greenery and breath taking views. Best to visit during monsoon but not while it is raining as the rocks are slippery to climb. Hiking up to the top is a bit hard and people with vertigo should avoid it.

Pandava Bakhara is one of the less explored heritage site of Odisha. It is said to be believe that these caves are built 4000years ago. If you love mountain ?️ & trekking then this one is for you. Come & see the magnificent view from the top of the hill, specially sunset time is more attractive. Points to remember while trekking : 1. Best time to visit (August - February) 2. It kind of complicated while trekking so be careful. 3. Avoid slippers while trekking. 4. Be aware of guide & locals who will charge extra money more than the proposed one. 5. Camping?️ also possible there. We have enjoyed a lot there. Do come & Enjoy ?

Pros :- 1. Awesome for trekking as usual ? 2. Great view from top like you have reached heaven ? 3. Good for camping at the top, but we didn't - may be next time ?️ 4. Guide will always be with us to help regarding climbing and telling about the routes ??? 5. 1-2 street vendor/s will be available somewhere at the top for selling cold-drinks and eatables. Thank God ? 6. Availability of parking ?️ Cons :- 1. Not good for family trips ? 2. Too much tiring at climbing phase ?‍♂️ 3. Paths can be slippery. Avoid preferring sandals(footwear) ?
