★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought a 45 days old pug puppy from Pets n Puppies pet shop Dakshinpuri, on Sunday night. And it died on Friday afternoon. It had all the symptoms of parvovirus from day 1. When we got her home, her first stool was loose motions. We thought that may be we did not give her cerelac hence her digestion became bad. So after giving cerelac, her stool became just a slightly better so we took a chance and waited some more which now turned out to be a wrong decision to wait. By Wednesday, she stopped eating much food and her stool was still very loose like water. We took her to a vet on Thursday evening who put her on a drip, gave her 2 injections and a medicine and told us that she should be better by next morning. But unfortunately, by next afternoon, she could not take it any more and succumbed to the virus. As per experienced people, she had this virus before we even got her as the virus takes some time to start showing symptoms. The breeder who sold her to us must have known this and hence, given her some antibiotics to make her look healthy and when the effect of the antibiotics work off, she started showing the true symptoms of the parvovirus which eventually proved to be fatal for us.
