Some summers ago, one hungry afternoon, felt like having Costal Maharashtrian food, so headed towards Pradeep Gomantak, looking forward to a hearty meal....
Its a good 10mts walk frm my office and by the time i reached, was famished.
As i neared, my heart sank as the place was closed! Dissapointed, was about to turn back (cursing them in my mind) when i saw a Paper stuck on the closed door.
Half expecting some tragic news as reason for their closure, what i read was incredible:
The small hand written note in Marathi simply said:
Mansaa Gaavi Geeli Sheeti saathi, dukan 15 diwas bandh rahil!
(As the cook & serving staff have gone to their native place for farming, this restaurant wil remain closed for next 15 days)
I STOOD DUMBSTRUCK!
In todays world which enterpreneur will shut shop for such a reason...
Said a small prayer for this team, smiled back all the way. Eat another Day ?
Every time i come here and remember this incident, keep smiling as i eat....
Like today... One more hearty meal.

Todays meal was a Thali, consisting of Mutton Masala, Mutton Gravy, 2 Chappatis, Rice, Chana Bhaji, Onions, Chutney and Solkadi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well visited this place as Sandeep Gomantak was fully and waiting was 30mins. This Gomantak Resturant is quite small compared to the Sandeep Gomantak but it servies the purpose of Gomantak cousine n taste n not too steep. They have every thing in Marathi local language. However the staff is frm Mumbai and they love to assist you. Gaboli can be got here if you come before 1230 noon. These r fish eggs a must try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If You Find “Gomantak” In Name Of Particular Restaurant, It Means The Owner Basically From Goa And You Will Surely Get The Good Tasty Goan As Well Konkani Food. Been Here Today For My Afternoon Lunch Was Ordered The “Chicken Sukka Thali” In This Thali You Will Get 2 Chapatis, Rice Bowl, Onion/Lemmon (Limbu) Green Coconut Chutney, Chicken Curry And The Plate Of Chicken Sukka Which Is Well Marinated In “Malwani Masala” After The Heavy Thali Am Sure That “Soul Curry” Will Help You To Digest The Food. Also You Can Enjoy Here Varieties Of “Fish Thalis” Do Visit If You Really Loves Goan/Konkani Food.
