This place is looking worn out lately .. but it continues to maintain good quality or food .. Try egg bhurji , egg omlette khimaa paav for breakfast .. you wont go wrong ... prices are low . Quantity is wholesome .. you will also get the famous paani kum chai here ..in main course the chicken dishes are fabulous . The sitting is old fashioned wooden chairs .. No AC ... no wifi and no cards accepted .. its a cash joint . No parking . And this place is bang opposite churchgate station on V M Road

This is very accessible food joint from Churchgate Railway Station and is my personal favourite. The Beverages and the food served is value of money. It is for a quick eat-in if you are on the move working. You can also interact with your clients over Tea/Coffee. A reasonably priced restaurant for the working office-goer.

Overview:- Right opposite to the churchgate station, this old Irani cafe is one of many. While it has many conventional dishes like tea, bun maska, sandwiches, etc. The challenger is the kheema pav. A minced meat semi-dry gravy with a lot of spices and a hearty amount of pav, a kind of bread popular throughout Mumbai known for its light airy texture and deflates when pressed. This dish is much loved throughout Mumbai and it would be too controversial to declare a clear winner. The silent war if the better kheema has taken Mumbai by a storm without anyone noticing it. The Mince goodness served here is a worthy contender. Moderately spicy but because of the masalas and not chillies which makes it covinient for a sip of tea to dilute your palate. The mince is coarse and not ground which does add a feeling of originality to the kheema. The condiments like chillies, the lemons and the true begotten condiment of every Indian mutton based dish, the onion just adds up to the taste. Finally, the meaty oily sensation difficult to exactly articulate left behind on your palate not ready to leave which makes you wish you would drink water a little later, this kheema is one of many which has left Mumbai asking for more.

Loved the kheema pao and irani chai. Kheema is simple, not too oily or spicy but nicely cooked and flavorful.

Great place to have some authentic non veg dishes on the reasonable rates. It's a very old restaurant but they have maintained their quality of the food ??
